Once Fitness Editor for Close Up Magazine, Akilé now jets around the world to present at a wide range of Fitness conventions, hosts workshops and Master Classes for Instructors that need extra teaching tips and guidance and is Guest Speaker at a number of events and fundraising functions.
After almost 20 years in the recruitment industry, a passion for NLP Coaching & several years competing professionally within the Salsa world, ranking Top 5 in the country, Akilé became uninspired by the London Latin scene in the late 90’s and set out to develop a vision which catered for the Dance Fitness industry as a whole in the new millennium, incorporating all her experiences. With a new and unique approach to teaching and knowledge, a new brand was developed and Fitness Vibe opened its doors to weekly classes to other dance and fitness enthusiasts (2005).
Licensed by the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing, Fitness and Kindred Arts, Akilé is a sought-after teacher, Motivational Trainer & Master Presenter, regularly providing cover Instructors to leisure facilities. All this happens alongside teaching regular classes & hosting Instructor Trainings.
With a Combat background that spans over 9 years, Akilé is also certified in all areas of Bokwa® Fitness, FIGHT KLUB® as well as all of the Zumba® specialities and Aqua, and has featured in programmes like GMTV, BBC London, Ideal TV and 3 Part series called Human Instincts.
Fitness Vibe are proud of the fact that they employ over 30 Instructors & facilitate over 70 classes per week. Since bringing her style and experience to the fitness arena, Akilé has inspired hundreds to follow her path making it her mission to create something spectacular amongst individuals with passion for fitness with a twist.
